A Fairy Tale by Piers Torday 26–28 November 2026 Things are about to change. Very much so… In 1838, London, Jacob Marley is dead. And so is Ebenezer Scrooge… In this fresh take on the beloved classic, Ebenezer is gone and his sister Fan has taken over his money-lending business. She quickly earns a reputation as the most monstrous miser in history, becoming a legendary misanthrope, isolated and loathed by everyone who encounters her. This Christmas Eve, Fan Scrooge will be visited by three spirits. They hope to inspire her to transform. But will she embrace this chance for change? |
The Chelsfield Players perform three productions a year and on five occasions have taken their summer production to the Edinburgh Fringe. They rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Village Hall, Chelsfield, or in venues nearby.
