5-7 June 2025 January 1942: German U-boats have a stranglehold on the Atlantic. If nothing is done, Britain will be starved of food, raw materials and oil in as little as two months. The Western Approaches Tactical Unit – staffed almost entirely by women – is tasked by Churchill to “find out what is happening in the Atlantic, find ways of getting the convoys through, and sink the U-boats!”
One 17-year-old Wren in particular turns out to have a gift for getting inside the mind of the enemy, predicting their actions and countering them. This is the true story of how a group of Wrens helped win the Battle of the Atlantic.
