What’s On
5-7 June 2025 The Western Approaches by Kit Barry On the 80th anniversary of VE Day, the Players present the premiere of a new drama about the women who, in a small office in Liverpool, worked out the tactics of the U-Boats and devised a strategy to combat their attacks. A tale of misogyny and mathematics. This will be a script-in-hand performance. 12 July 2025 Chelsfield Village Fair Saturday 12th July 2025 – gates open at 12 noon and it takes place on Chelsfield Cricket Green, BR6 7RL. Adults £5.00, children £2 and under fives free. As always, the Players will have a stall. 27-29 November 2025 Silver Lining by Sandi Toksvig Silver Lining tells the tale of a group of extraordinary yet forgotten women, who come together one treacherous night to recreate The Great Escape – senior-citizen style. 13-15 March 2026 Communicating Doors by Alan Ayckbourn “Nothing like imminent death for bringing out a guilty conscience.” Set in a near-dystopian future, a dominatrix flees for her life through a hotel communicating door only to find herself 20 years in the past. Stalked by a psychopath in the present and the past, the opportunity to alter time for the better puts the lives of three women at stake. |
The Chelsfield Players perform three productions a year and on five occasions have taken their summer production to the Edinburgh Fringe. They rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Village Hall, Chelsfield, or in venues nearby.
We welcome people who wish to act or to help backstage. ![]() Before or after your visit, or both, why not pop into the Five Bells pub in the centre of the village? In fact, why not pop in any time?
