14–16 March 2024 Steaming by Nell Dunn A group of women who frequent a Turkish bath-house in the 1980s band together when the baths are faced with closure. Tuesday 19 March 2024 and Tuesday 26 March 2024 Auditions for The Ghost Train, performing 28–30 November 2024. For details, email info@chelsfieldplayers.org. 6–8 June 2024 A Legal Murder by Ian McCutcheon Murder mystery with fish supper. (Note: the murder does not involve poisoning, by fish or otherwise.) 11 June 2024 AGM. All welcome. 13 July 2024 Village Fete. The Players will have a stall and there will be plenty more to amuse visitors, including music and aerobatics. 28–30 November 2024 The Ghost Train by Arnold Ridley A motley group of passengers find themselves stranded in a spooky West Country railway station. First performed by the Society in the 1940s, so if you missed it then now’s your chance. 13–15 March 2025 Cruising by Alecky Blythe A hilarious, real-life comedy about pensioners going in search of love – from the sublime to the downright saucy. |
The Chelsfield Players perform three productions a year and on five occasions have taken their summer production to the Edinburgh Fringe. They rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Village Hall, Chelsfield, or in venues nearby.
