The Pleasure Garden
by Beatrice Mayor, produced by Norman Nash
25-27 July 1968, ‘Lindisfarne’, Oxenden Wood Road, Chelsfield Park
An outdoor production that was less of a story than a collection of character-based vignettes. Gladys Hollands, who first appeared in the 1930s, is still an acting member of the Society, while another member of the cast, Anne Allocca, is still involved in the 2020s. The play was performed in member Peggy Squire’s garden in Chelsfield Park. According to the review, “The play was excellently produced by Norman Nash.” |
