Two charming and innocent elderly sisters, Abby and Martha Brewster, decide that by poisoning their poor, lonely lodgers and burying the bodies in their cellar, they are saving these unfortunates from the sorrows of this world. However, not everybody shares their philosophy. The action takes place in the Brewsters’ living room in Brooklyn, New York. Date: the 1940s. Former chairman John Gulliver made his first appearance on stage for over 20 years. Paul Matthews, John Gilligan and Gary Larnder made their debuts. |
