Caught Napping is a 1959 comedy play, or perhaps a farce, by Geoffrey Lumsden, who was better known as an actor, including such parts as Captain Square in Dad’s Army. The play revolves around a schoolboy’s end-of-year prank. It premiered at the Salisbury Playhouse, under its original title Gwendolyn. In 1978 it was revived with a cast that included Arthur Lowe, Bill Pertwee, Fiona Fullerton and Edward Evans. |
