A Christmas Carol
by Charles Dickens, adapted by Neil Duffield, directed by Pat Walls
16-20 November 2010
Dickens’ classic short story is brought to life for the stage, with a minimalist set and a chorus taking Scrooge on his journey from miserly curmudgeon to the reformed character who keeps the spirit of Christmas in his heart all year round. The rules meant that we needed two teams of six children who played on alternate nights and turned in some terrific performances, including a matinée show on the Saturday. Two of them – Edie Nelson and Sam Holland – returned for the following show in spring: Six Characters In Search Of An Author. |
