Berkeley Square
by John L Balderston & Jack Squire; producer Eric Hart
18-19 March 1949, Orpington Civic Hall
Berkeley Square was adapted from Henry James’ posthumously published 1917 novel The Sense of the Past. Balderston, the main writer and the only one credited on the playbill, is best known as the author of Gaslight, which was performed by the Players in 1980. It is a play in three acts that tells the story of a young American who is transported back to London in the time of the American Revolution and meets his ancestors. |
