Frost At Midnight
by André Obey translated by Warren Tute; producer Brian Matthew
11-12 December 1964
After Noah in 1946, this was the Society’s second production of an André Obey play. Again there is a Biblical theme: in a small town in 1499, a group of local inhabitants meet in the Cornmarket Hall of a small English town to rehearse their annual miracle play. The traditional performance of the nativity play is threatened, and not just by the harsh winter. |
