Necessity being the mother of invention, Chelsfield’s 2018 summer show used a unifying theme that allowed three short plays to be performed on the same set and the limited availability of cast and crew on account of holidays. With the Wennford Drama Festival only five weeks away, the Dramatic Society still cannot agree on which play to enter. In desperation five members are ‘volunteered’ to make the choice. But when this committee meets, the chances of a successful outcome do not look good, coping as they have to with David’s collapsing marriage and Andrea’s digestion.
