The Players have occasionally dabbled in pantomime, and this was one of the last occasions (the most recent was Dick Turpin in 1997). We hope that the director’s gift included a pair of scissors for neater press cuttings, even though the local press soon decided that amateur theatre was beneath their dignity, even if the play was well received on this occasion. |
