Feydeau’s classic French farce from 1896 published as Le Dindon (“The Turkey”) in the original French. Lucienne Vatelin is an honest and faithful woman who loves her husband. Pursued by two men, she tells them that she would only consent to take a lover if she found her husband in the arms of another woman. Unfortunately for her two suitors, the husband in question seems to be fidelity incarnate. However, an old flame of his, Maggy Soldignac, arrives precipitously from London and attempts to revive the flame. |
